Genomineerden Benelux techprijs bekend: 40 startups strijden om LEVEL UP Awards 2024

Volgens de organisatoren van LEVEL UP 2024, het Benelux tech-event dat maandag 30 september plaatsvindt in het Evoluon in Eindhoven, katalyseren tech-startups verandering. Met de LEVEL UP Awards zet de organisatie de meest innovatieve tech-startups uit de Benelux in de spotlights.

De Benelux-regio (België, Nederland en Luxemburg) heeft zich ontwikkeld tot een belangrijk ecosysteem voor startups in Europa. Het wordt gekenmerkt door sectorale diversiteit, techgedreven instituten en een netwerk van internationaal talent.

In de afgelopen tien jaar zijn er in de Benelux meer dan 15.000 startups opgericht. Nederland en België scoren bovengemiddeld wat betreft het aantal startups per miljoen inwoners in vergelijking met andere Europese landen. Vooral Nederland blinkt uit met 2,6 keer zoveel startups per miljoen inwoners als het Europese gemiddelde (in totaal een slordige 11.000 startups die aan 145.000 mensen werkgelegenheid bieden). Daarmee ligt Nederland voor op het Verenigd Koninkrijk, Duitsland en Frankrijk.

Een deskundige jury kiest de winnaar. De vakjury bestaat dit jaar uit Kathleen Philips (imec), Jeroen van Glabbeek (CM.com) en Simone Brummelhuis (Borski Fund). De winnaar ontvangt tickets voor de CES in Las Vegas,  eeuwige roem, een prachtige award en exposure in de media.
